Archbishop John has
given us a prayer card especially for children to use. The Holy
Spirit listens to the prayers of boys and girls just as he listens to
grown-ups.
The first thing that
Archbishop John tells us on this card is that:
The fruits of the Holy Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, humility and self-control.
This is what St Paul said in one of his letters.
Then Archbishop John
asks all children to join him in prayer and you can right now by saying:
Let us pray
Come Holy Spirit bring
me today
love, joy and peace
in all that I say.
Come Holy Spirit help
me today
to be good, kind and gentle
in every way.
Come Holy Spirit fill
me this day
with faith and trust
and a great HOORAY!
