The Church of St James Coorparoo was ready.

Father Tan was looking forward
to his first Mass here.

What a great job they did in providing easy leadership for us!

Father Tan passed his parents  ...

and came to the altar  ...

to begin his first Mass with us.

Paul presented Fr Tan  ...

with his new stole  ...

on behalf of the Parish.

Fr Tan began as the Presider  ...

as proud parents joined us.

Readings were proclaimed  ...

and we were led in the Psalm.

Father Dave proclaimed
the Good News  ...

and then put before Tan and us some wonderful thoughts in his homily.

Father Tan led us  ...

into the Intercessions

Father Tan's parents  ...

brought up the Gifts.

Father Tan prepared the Gifts ...

for Offertory

Fr Abel, Fr Peter and Fr Dave joined Fr Tan for the Concelebration.

We were asked to offer each other a sign of Christ's Peace.

Father Tan led us in Final Prayer.

Then Father Dave, with halo shining,

delivered some ...

house-keeping notices.

Father Tan gave us his Blessing  ...

and sent us to "love and serve the Lord".

Many parishioners joined  ...

Father Tan's family in the Parish Hall  ...

for a celebratory morning tea.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Father Tan spoke of his gratitude to the many who had helped along the way.

The morning ended when Father Tan was joined by his brother Augustinians
and his family for the cutting of the cake.
